Attended The Heights School in Potomac, Maryland. The same Opus Dei run Catholic school as the children of FBI double agent Robert Hanssen, played by Chris Cooper in the film Breach, who spied for the Soviets and Russians for over 15 years. Remarkably, the kids of then FBI Director Louis Freeh also attended The Heights.
Performed in a Maryland dinner theatre production of "Carousel" with Colleen Haskell, from "Survivor", who was on the set crew.

Was cast over the telephone by Miriam Colon in a staged reading of "Night Over Taos" at The Actors' Studio in New York in 1998. In order to justify his participation in the project (only members and known actors were traditionally allowed), she made up a story to the Studio's Board saying that she had come to know this "young talent" who had "frequently participated" in her Puerto Rican Travelling Theatre in Manhattan. In fact, she had just met him the night before. The Board, run by Estelle Parsons, immediately consented and he was allowed to perform.
