Kaj-Erik Eriksen (Kaj-Erik is pronounced "Kai"-Erik) was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.Kaj begin acting at the age of six. After only a few jobs as an extra and a couple of small speaking roles, He got his first break when he landed a role in the independent film Quarantine (1989). The shoot was so low budget cast and crew had to climb through broken windows to get to the set inside an abandoned, rat-infested warehouse. Kaj loved it and was hooked on acting right away.Shortly after "Quarantine", Kaj did his first of two guest star roles on "MacGyver" (1985), which was his favorite show as a kid.In 1991, after working on various movies-of-the-week, and guest starring in a number of series, Kaj booked the role of David Scali, the son of Michael Chiklis's character on the long-running ABC drama, "The Commish" (1991). The well-respected show catapulted Eriksen into the mainstream American TV world, earning him nominations for a Hollywood Reporter Youth Star Award, a Youth in Film Award, and two YTV Youth Achievement awards.During The Commish's four and a half year run, Eriksen worked on numerous other projects including the re-make of Captains Courageous (1996) (TV), starring Robert Urich. He had also landed a lead role in the first The Mighty Ducks (1992) movie, but his work schedule on "The Commish" prevented him from taking it.Shortly after "The Commish" ended, at the age of seventeen, Kaj moved to Los Angeles and continued his career there.In 1999 Kaj returned to Vancouver to shoot two seasons of "Beggars and Choosers" (1999), a short-lived series that received critical praise as well as a wonderful cult following.When "Beggars" was not picked up for a third season in 2001, Kaj headed back to L.A. where he landed the coveted role of Jeremy Peters on David E. Kelley's "Boston Public" (2000). What was supposed to be four episodes turned into a two-season gig, and one of his most recognizable parts to date.Kaj is currently starring as Danny Farrell in the USA Network series "The 4400" (2004), from executive producer Francis Ford Coppola's production company, "American Zoetrope". He has also recently worked on the feature film, 88 Minutes (2007) starring Al Pacino.Kaj currently divides his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles. When he is not working he enjoys spending time at his log cabin on a lake in the interior of British Columbia.
