Originally from Detroit, Tom Ferda began working in the film/television industry as a Special Effects Tech, Actor and Medical Consultant in 1990 while working as a Lieutenant/Paramedic in Central Florida.After leaving the fire rescue service in 1995, Tom joined the International Association of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE Local #477) and operated a production office at Universal Studios, Florida.His screen credits include Special Effects Technician on the John Singleton, Warner Bros. film "Rosewood" and MTM Enterprises astronaut epic "The Cape" as well as Set Medic/Medical Consultant on HBO's "From The Earth to the Moon", Spyglass Entertainment's "Instinct"; Warner Bros. "Contact" and "Armageddon".
