Sylvie was born in 2001 and Eve was born in 2005. Dan's brother-in-law is the general manager of the Boston Red Sox, Theo Epstein. He met his wife Anya on the set of "Homicide: Life on the Street" (1993) in late 1999 when she was a writer on the show. Wrote the screenplay for 2005's "Capote"; Directed by childhood friend Bennett Miller and starring childhood friend Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Invited to join AMPAS in 2006.
