Radio announcer in 1972 for K.O.L.E Radio in Port Arthur, Texas as 'Ed Williams'. Studied theater and broadcasting at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas. Broadcaster with the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service by age 25. On air talent in Seoul, Korea; Panama City, Florida; Incirlik (IN-jur-lick), Turkey as 'drive time' radio announcer and television news anchor. A member of an American dance company touring Asia saw Ed perform the lead role of "Scrooge" in Seoul, Korea. Impressed with his performance, the dance company immediately hired him to play the role of "The Duke" in "Geselle" at the Little Angels Theater of the Performing Arts in Seoul. In Ed Asner's home town of Kansas City, Missouri, Ed Autry's credits include: Article 99 (1992), as the Mumbling Man, shot on location in Kansas City. TV commercials and industrial comedy videos. Because of Ed's amazing 'elastic face', renounced photographer Nick Vedros featured Ed as the subject of his comedic photo, "The Rocketchair" which appeared in many national magazines.
