Andrew Gunsberg was born in 1973. He was raised in Brisbane, Queensland, and dropped out of high school in Year 11. He then auditioned for a drama course at University of Queensland, but wasn't accepted. He began working at a radio station in Adelaide before getting hired at Channel V in early 1999. Andrew has since become a household name in Australia after sharing hosting duties of "Australian Idol" with his fellow Channel V co-star, James Mathison. He names the Beastie Boys amongst his idols and his favourite career highlight was interviewing them in May 1999. Andrew is also a vegetarian and is currently single.
