Jens Olaf Jersild is a well-known Danish television journalist. Educated in journalism he wrote for Berlingske Tidende between 1982 and 1984. He moved to television to work for DR's "TV-Avisen" (1965) from 1984 to 1992. He continued on the same station as a part of the documentary group, then returned in 1994 to the newsroom surroundings as the first anchor of popular interview program "Profilen" (1994). In 1996 he founded the program "Rapporten" (1996) which became famous for its investigative journalism tracking down new cases each week. He saw the program through until its cancellation in 2002 which he did not agree with. He also hosted "Dilemma" (2003), a program about the choices people make in critical situations. Jens Olaf Jersild has gained a strong personal profile as a sharp and investigative reporter with a wide audience.
