Was recruited to play WHL hockey team the Kamloops Blazers before a hiking accident. He married in September of 1999. His father Glen is an attorney, and his mother Wendy a former nurse. He has an older sister and a younger brother. He joined the NHL's celebrity hockey team in 1994. Has two children Has a son, born in 2000 and a daughter, born in 2002.
