Dana is the executive director of Project ALS, an organization that raises money to study cures for Lou Gehrig's disease. Father, Samuel, was a jeweler in Princeton, New Jersey. He passed away in 1998. His mother, Alice, was a homemaker. His sister, Joanne, also is a homemaker. Studied pre-law at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois but took a year off before going to law school to try his hand at acting.
