Born January 9, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan. Put up for adoption at nine months. Stayed in the same foster home for ten years. Adopted at eleven, adopted mother passed away the following year. Raised by adopted father. First in family to graduate from high school. From the age of ten, wanted to move to California. Needed to have job skills, so off to college. Originally wanted to become a marine biologist like Jacque Cousteau. Changed career path to accounting. Started working for Michigan Bell Telephone Company. Went back to school to study computer programming. Promoted to management in computer processing department of phone company. Got married in Hawaii. After two years in the management position, resigned from phone company. Moved to Los Angeles, California with wife and stepdaughter. Struggled to survive until getting a good job with a subsidary of a bank. Second daughter is born. During an extremely difficult time, seperated from wife and kids. Stayed in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles, looking for better paying work in the computer field. Reconciled with wife. A short time later, she died suddenly from a viral infection. Stepdaughter moved back to Michigan. As a single parent of a three year old daughter, employment options seemed bleak. Offers for acting gigs (commercials, printwork, theatrical, films) were coming in, but not taken seriously. Was referred by an actor friend to his agent. Was immediately signed. That was in 1991. Since that time, he has had a blossoming career in movies, commercials, and print ads.
