Joe Lara / Biography

Joe Lara comes to the world of country music after a twenty-year career as an actor. During that time his works included starring in films for theatre and television, and he also won the coveted role of Tarzan in the television series, "Tarzan: The Epic Adventures."Although acting has predominated for a while, Joe is no stranger to country music. He grew up playing his guitar and listening to some of the greats like Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, and others who were favorites of his family. When flying off to some exotic location to make a film, Joe's favorite guitar was always by his side helping to ease the loneliness of being so far away from home. It was during some of these long trips away filming that he also began writing music. After being asked to compose a song for a movie in which he was starring, the attraction to music became even greater.It was long before the inevitable happened: musical expression is where his heart is. And, with his life-long love of music, theatrical experience and exceptional talent, the transition from acting to country music was an easy one. Joe is currently working on his debut album.
