Damon Lee / Biography

Damon Lee is the Executive Vice President of Production at Our Stories Films a film company focused on producing and financing urban comedies.Lee produced the critically acclaimed comedy Undercover Brother starring Eddie Griffin and Dave Chappelle, directed by Malcolm Lee. To date, Undercover Brother has grossed over $100 million.His next movie in theaters will be the supernatural thriller Whisper starring Josh Holloway (Lost), Dule Hill (West Wing) and Michael Rooker. The film, produced in conjunction with Gold Circle Films, is scheduled to be released in January 2007 by Universal.Currently, Damon is casting and budgeting the feature film This Christmas which is scheduled to be released in November 2007 by ScreenGems. The film begins shooting in Los Angeles in January 2007 and has been described as Soul Food during Christmas time.Damon also produced and self-financed a short film called One Flight Stand starring Aisha Tyler and Marc Blucas. The Film was a finalist at the Sundance Film Festival and the American Black Film Festival. One Flight Stand was licensed to and currently airs on HBO.Damon received his MFA from the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC. He began his career as a production assistant on John Singleton's controversial film Higher Learning and worked as a studio executive at MGM.Before attending film school, Damon was a member of Teach For America and he is an active member of B-DADS, a community group for African American fathers in Southern California.
