Jon Barton has been an active player in the film and television industry for over 10 years. He moved to Manhattan from California at 17 to enroll in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and completed their intensive 2 year program. Since returning to California, he has maintained an active career in the industry with a variety of roles in several projects, many emphasizing the military.Jon also joined the Marine Corps and was put in contact with Ret. Sgt Major Jim Dever and his company 1 Force Inc. Jon worked with Jim on a variety of film and TV projects, including "Windtalkers," "Combat Missions," "American Dreams," and "Alias," doing voice over, looping, stunts, actor training, background training, and advising.In 2003, Jon Barton joined forces with Matt Sigloch and Sean Bunch to create Gunmetal in response to the need for a higher level of military working in Hollywood.Working side by side with Matt Sigloch, Barton has been instrumental in casting our shows and providing the expertise to satisfy the show's requirements. A triple threat, his passion is still in front of the camera, but at the same time he knows that his skills are valuable behind the camera even more.
