Jon Liggett (born May 9), better known as Yawn, is an American trained award winning actor. He was born in Palo Alto, California. Raised by his mother Janice, his grandmother, family friend Theresa,and sister Tracy. Grew up in the Bay Area performing with the world class drum and bugle corps, the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. Became a champion at age 21, placing first with the highest score ever 98.9 in the Drum Corps International Competion. He is a singer, composer, director, actor, writer. He's also known to be a trend setter and is commonly referred to as the guy everyone wants to work with. Jon is usually noted for his innovative stage performances, gift at improvisation and use of political, sexual, and common day themes in his work.He was in the circus,an acrobat, and can juggle. Worked with the famed Larry Pisoni, and Geoff Hoyle. Studied with Phil Bennit and was asked to be a part of a documentary on "behavior and physical actions" based on Sonya Moore's teachings. Gratuated San Francsico State University and American Conservatory Theater. Recently assistant directed a comedic short, which debuts at the 9 November 2006 (Chicago Reeling Film Festival).
