Rick Lindland was born in Bay City, Michigan. He moved to Los Angeles when he was four-years old after his father was hired by Max Factor. While he was in high-school, he tried out for a professional boxing gym in Van Nuys and became an amateur fighter for Greg Goossen from the renowned Ten Goose Professional Boxing. One night after a boxing match, he was approached at Jerry's deli by two female agents and was signed by their agency. Soon afterwards, he was signed by Ford Models, and began working as a model, traveling to Milan, New York, Athens, and the other fashion capitals of the world. Rick decided to pursue acting, and landed a small role in "General Hospital." Shortly afterwards, he read for a part to play the lead opposite Rose McGowan in Jawbreaker (1999). Although he came close to playing opposite Rose, the producers instead gave him the role of the "auto shop stud" opposite Judy Greer. Working with the young director, Darren Stein, and the young, energetic cast of "Jawbreaker", inspired Rick to study acting seriously. He began to study with a woman who came out of The Actors Studio, and learned "The Method". Through this acting approach, Rick made many self-discoveries and wrote a boxing story which he later turned into a screenplay entitled N.B.T. (2003). Taking on the role of both the producer and the lead, Rick brought Jimmy Nickerson (stunt coordinator for "Raging Bull" and "Rocky I&II") onto the project, and saw his screenplay come to life.
