Dan MacDonald was 15 years old when he donned his "Jackie Dan" persona in July of 2001. Borrowing his aunt's camera - gathering family and friends to create his own short movies. By the time 2004 rolled around he realized the potential this hobby would have in becoming a career. After having taken Drama and Video Productions while attending SAERC; Strait Area Education and Recreation Centre, directing and starring in over 100 of his own short films he applied to NSCC for Screen Arts. He was rejected due to the Martial Arts fight scenes portrayed in some of his films.Deciding to take a year off between his graduation and trying to apply to another university so he could make money, Dan took it upon himself to make more dialogue driven movies to create a better portfolio. In the process of this he applied to Toronto Film School for the "Acting for Film, TV, and Theatre" program. After being accepted he moved to Toronto where he still continues to make movies and is working on his website: http://www.jackiedan.cjb.net so he can begin his acting career.
