Aged 18, Glenn Manton was playing football for Essendon under 19's and after a scuffle in a Brunswick nightclub, put his arm through a 2 inch thick glass window. After hours of microsurgery, doctors said he'd never even be able to turn a key let alone play football again, but after a summer of endless rehab, he went on to captain Essendon's under 19's and came runner up in the Morrish Medal. He went on to play for Essendon, who delisted him in 1995 and was picked up by Carlton, where he currently plays. A popular member of the Footy Show's panel, Glenn is known for his off-beat, quirky sense of humour and personal style.
