Hiram was born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic.A college dropout and one-time driving instructor, Hiram taught himself editing and was subsequently hired by the Fox News Channel. With no film experience and still working for Fox, he wrote the comedy Four Dead Batteries and quit to direct the film.Hiram's currently at work on the comedy "A Perfectly Normal Woman" and adapting the Dominican novel "El Brazo."
