Daren N. Afshar / Biography

Daren is the President of Winery Productions, an international film co-production company that specializes in bridging the business, creative, and network gaps between the Japanese and global film industries. In addition to producing films and representing international film cast and crew, Daren coaches Japanese business leaders and conducts seminars nationwide on a variety of subjects.He is a certified sommelier and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Japanese from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He speaks English, Japanese and French.Daren devotes his non-work time to spending quality time with his family, organizing dinner and film parties for his friends, and researching the Japanese and U.S. film industries. His future focus is concentrated on developing world-class Japanese business leaders and transforming Japan from the second largest global consumer of films to the second largest global producer/consumer of films.
