I went to High School with Roark Critchlow, or "Grant" as we called him back then. He was always extremely talented artistically. He was an accomplished actor, even in high school, as well as being an amazing painter and sketch artist (like his father), and if all of this wasn't enough...he played in an award winning jazz band as well. To top it all off, Roark was a straight-A student. When John Lennon was murdered, Roark attended high school dressed completely in black, wearing dark sunglasses, and would speak to no one for WEEKS!! Roark's sister, Traci-Joe is also and accomplished artist, writer and teacher.
It's a shame that Roark has never looked back once he left his family and friends in Canada...nobody ever hears from him and he never returns to Summerland, BC where his sister, nephew, niece, and parents live. He never mentions graduating from Summerland Secondary School, nor does he acknowledge his acting coach from SSS who played a huge role in nurturing Roark's early acting ambitions.
I guess he's just too good for us now. It's a shame, there are a ton of good people back here that he's just tossed away like rubbish.
