The untimely passing of Steve Irwin is a great tragedy. This has effected my family more than I could have imagined; he has been a great influence on myself and my two boys. The world will never be the same. In the past, I have dealt with this type of emotional pain through music. Being a song writer and composer, I have written musical compositions and songs to honour friends, family, and fallen heroes to ease the pain and commemorate the contributions they've made in life. Steve falls under the obvious catagory of "HERO." Please accept and share with the world this musical tribute in honour of the great "CROCODILE HUNTER" Steve Irwin.. WE LOVE YOU STEVE!!!!
Sincerely:
David James

I've always been a fan of Steve Irwin, and so I was pretty upset to hear about his death on Monday. I thought about writing something, or maybe making a video.
I guess I wasnt the only one who thought of this because I found this site and there were over 400 tribute videos.
Thought everyone would find this interesting.

Some are funny. Some are Sad. Some are really amazing. But the outpouring of love and appreciation for The Crocodile Hunter is overwhelming.

The first thing I heard my daughter remark upon reading Steve was dead this morning was "Oh my God! This is like saying Elvis is dead!" When Elvis died he left a great deal of the world in mourning. Some of it never has come back! I think Steve Irwin leaves a mark as enormous! Elvis taught us to feel through his music. Steve gave us one on one teaching about conservation. His love of endangered wildlife virtually came into our homes! “Crikey!” Every time he jumped, didn’t you? Whenever he cried upon finding a beast that died uselessly didn’t you? I did!
When I hear people say, "It was their time," I sometimes feel that maybe a particular person did NOT die on God's special schedule. My father was a naughty diabetic whose life could have been longer had he NOT eaten forbidden sweets. He didn’t end life on “His agenda!” In Steve's case I feel perhaps for once it WAS his time. He was 44 years old with a wife and two young ones. This is horribly sad. Truthfully the sad ones are the people who are left behind. At this moment Steve is having a jolly good time “up there” with his Dad.
The stingray’s piercing Steve straight into the heart was such a freak accident! I heard tonight his death was instantaneous. It WAS his time! To some he did things beyond limits. In order to save animal lives, it was NOT. He didn’t die fool-hardy. In 44 years Steve Irwin taught the world about important issues. There are scholars who live to be 101 but teach us nothing! In my heart, Steve is still with us in spirit and Terri, Bindi Sue, and Bob Irwin along with his colleagues and other family will carry his cause to even greater glory. The week, months and years ahead will say this is true. His “essence” lives on in all of our hearts!
I don’t know it all but this is what my heart feels. Thank you for allowing me to share this thought.

I want to thank Steve for showing the world how a human being should live. He was a great father, a beloved role model, and a noble man. His life has forever changed me and the world will carry his legacy and passion forever. My prayers go to his wife and children. May God rest his soul.

He was the Croc Hunter he went around the world to find all kinds of things.

Today as a school teacher I comforted many sad teary children on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland - We have upset kids in my class, some of whose parents work at the Australia Zoo and who like us adults are asking in the face of this tragedy, 'Why do bad things happen to good people?' Steve was such a GOOD man!' The loss of Steve has heavily impacted the community here on the Sunshine Coast - our thoughts and our prayers are for Terri and the kids at this time. For our loss while deeply felt is nothing in comparison to her sorrow and grief, and to that of the extended family at Australia Zoo. Terri - we are so sorry :(
Steve will be greatly missed worldwide but particularly by people in his own home town.
