I first saw Hugh Jackman on the London stage playing Curley in Oklhoma and he gave the role a whole new meaning. His performance was electrfying and his talents awesome. His wonderful looks, charisma and personality are second to none. I was standing to full houses with many ovations for this musical and I just had to find out more about him.
I discovered he was starting to make a name for himself in movies and although to begin with even though the films were ok he was always mentioned by the critics who complimented him on his talent.He was nominated for best actor in a comedy/musical in Kate and Leopold a film I am very fond of.
As well know now he is a major star and we are all looking forward to seeing The Prestige and particularly The Fountain which has had some wonderful reviews to date.
Hugh is also very popular with all the people he works with and a wonderful family man.
He has a wonderful calendar for the next couple of years but I want to hear him sing again and hopefully I will in Carousel. But if only a DVD would be made for The Boy From Oz where he won a Tony Award and a Fred Astaire Award for dancing and captured the heart of Broadway.
His talent is so great, but natural and he can move from stage to screen with incredible ease.
Keep up the good work Hugh we all love you and support you for all the different right reasons you can think of - just be round the corner one day and I can bump into you - that would be great
