STILL CRAZY [ALL OVER THE WORLD]
This is a clip from the movie "Still Crazy" (1998, directed by Brian Gibson), where fictional has-been rock-band STRANGE FRUIT perform one of their songs - 'All Over The World'.
This is one of the most uplifting moments of the film (one of my all-time favourites without a doubt) - after long, extensive and difficult European reunion tour (which was played to largely indifferent audiences in toilet circuit venues) the band finally finds its vibe, listeners and recognition. Great old style rock tune too, isn't it?

STILL CRAZY [TRAILER]
Promo-trailer of one of my all-time favourite movies "Still Crazy".
The tagline is "They had it. They lost it. They want it back." It's a story of a fictional has-been rock band, whose reunion tour across Europe brings comic adventures, both appalling and terrific performances in under par venues, inter-band relationship twists and, of course, inevitable happy-end.
It's funny, quintessentially British, touching, at the same time deeply moving and (quite often hysterically) funny, hugely memorable, well-acted (it seems to me that it was the first notable appearance of Bill Nighy in a leading role - however, I might be wrong) and the music, giving so called "dad rock" a good name, is great.

MyFavMovies - Still Crazy
Another tribute to a favourite film. I've been deliberately vague about the ending because I want people to see the movie.
STILL CRAZY is the hilarious 1998 movie about the reunion tour of Strange Fruit, a fictional British rock band whose career peaked in the early 70s and then ended in the kind of in-fighting that so many bands suffered. But rather than being arrogant superstars, these guys are all weary and a little pathetic, and you'll find yourself rooting for them to make themselves a success again.
But can the Fruits pull if off? We wait with bated breath.
