DEAL - The Movie - In Theatres September 28th
Set against the world of high stakes poker, DEAL follows the story of TOMMY VINSON (Burt Reynolds), an ex-gambler who quit the game of Texas Hold'em over 20 years ago who gets sucked back into the game after meeting a younger version of himself, ALEX STILLMAN (Bret Harrison).
Alex's parents would like him to go to law school, but Alex only dreams of playing professional poker, like the icons he sees on TV. After winning an on-line event that places him in the televised game, Alex loses early. He's close to greatness, but what he doesn't realize yet is that he doesn't focus enough on the players... that's where Tommy comes in.
Tommy makes a pact with Alex to front him the high priced entry fees to all the major tournaments if Alex plays the way that Tommy wants him to. Alex resists at first, but after seeing Tommy make some impressive calls while watching a poker game together, Alex changes his mind and they partner - until Alex meets the girl of his dreams (Shannon Elizabeth), who will soon change everything.
After Tommy and Alex have a falling out, Tommy, who's now got the appetite back for the game and a hunger to be known as the best, enters the final tournament of the poker season, the World Poker Tour Championship and ends up facing Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari, Phil "The Unabomber" Laak, Joseph Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, Greg "Fossileman" Raymer, Jennifer Tilly... and Alex along the way to the final table - where their lives will be forever changed...

The Florida Capitol building is a piece of crap (3/7/07
I couldn't believe how shitty the Florida Capitol building is. It truly looks like one big office building from a distance and a big penis and balls from the side.
We went on a tour of the old capitol with an informative display of the 2000 presidential election in Florida, which made me angry when I saw an actual butterfly ballot.
The best thing about the capitol building is the observation floor on the top, giving an amazing view of the Florida panhandle.
A fairly sizeable forest fire was ablaze in one of the nearby national forests.
I was also impressed to see Burt Reynolds in the Florida Artist Wall of Fame on the floor. Smokey and the Bandit remains one of my favorite comedies of all time.
