Ultimate Doom PWAD Longplay: Knee-Deep in the DEU (2/4
(Part 2 of 4) A playthrough of Knee-Deep in the DEU (kneedeep.wad), a demonstration of what could be done with the legendary, powerful, and easy-to-use 1994 Doom map editor, DEU 5, with which it was bundled. This was a big deal because it was the third-party Doom modding community itself that figured out how to modify Doom.
This WAD replaces all the levels in episode 1, and it was produced by Raphaël Quinet, Jeremy Blackman, and Steve Bareman. All the mappers were DEU 5's beta testers.
E1M1: Cameron Newham E1M2: Steven L. Bareman E1M3: Billy Chow E1M9: Robert M. Harvey E1M4: Michael Stiller E1M5: Michael Kelsey E1M6: Sean R. Malloy E1M7: Trevor Phillips E1M8: Dietrich Hempelmann (although it was a real 1994 level, it supported the Baron tag 666 feature, which causes certain platforms to lower when the Barons die in E1M8!)
