Assassinista
This video was meant to be a cool spy movie. We filmed it at the Hoboken Film Festival in May of 2007. Utilizing the festival's main event- the gala. We guerrilla filmed the opening scene using event goers as background. Oddly enough, no one paid us any attention. We blended right in. It wasn't until we retreated to the upper level of the gala that things took a turn for the worse. Filming ran over and eventually the gala ended. It was then, that the building's security began to take a sweep of all the floors in order to prepare for lockdown. It was then when we were discovered. Production was immediately ceased as we were evicted from the building. As sad and unfortunate as our removal was, it was somewhat expected. The down side was that we did not finish, the up side was that we managed to get as far as we did at all. It was that sentiment that made me decide to release a cut of this project at all. The editing is very slick and it definitely has a nice feel. And it would be a shame to not be able to use all that footage from such a prime location. So with that being said, I now present to you, the unfinished cut of "Assassinista".
