5:15 - The Who (with John Entwistle Bass Solo)

This is a song by the Who called 5:15. It was played in Las Vegas in 1999. It features John Entwistle's now-famous bass solo. Notice how the camera men focus on Zak Starkey and Pete Townshend drinking a cola instead of on John's crazy playing!

"Ringo Starr And His All Starrs," Japan Tour, Tokyo, 1995

I was a journalist in Tokyo during most of the 1990s. I usually covered traditional news, but on rare occasions, got the opportunity to attend fun events.

On June 26, 1995, myself along with a couple of journalist buddies, Jeff McCulley and Graham Dwyer, attended a press conference for "Ringo Starr And His All Starrs" Japan tour in Tokyo.

They performed the next evening at the famed Budokan, where the Beatles rocked Tokyo some 30 years beforehand.

In addition to Ringo, the band consisted of: his son, Zak Starkey; John Entwistle; Randy Bachman; Mark Farner; Billy Preston; Felix Cavaliere; and Mark Rivera.
