Spotlight on J. Michael Straczynski
This panel was called Spotlight on J. Michael Straczynski, and he was just him answering questions on a range of subjects. He said at the beginning of the question/answer session that he had some cool stuff to give away to the people with good questions. He gave away two Babylon 5 comic books that were given only to those who went to the Babylon 5 signing session (I think) and a crank flashlight/radio-in-case-of-emergencies-or-camping gift that he gave to the cast and crew of Babylon 5 when it ended. I was lucky enough to receive a Babylon 5 comic book for my question. Oh, and J. Michael Straczynski hit on me. ;)

George A. Romero with Max Brooks & J. Michael Straczynski
Right before J. Michael Straczynski came on stage, Max Brooks was making fun of the fact that Straczynski hadn't been seen at Comic Con, yet. (I'm sure he knew J. Michael was backstage, heh.)

JMS and Harlan at the movies
J. Michael Straczynski tells a story of when he and Harlan Ellison went to see Schlinder's list. Harlan calls it a "shutting up people who talk in movies" story. JMS says this may or may not be what actually happened. Recorded at a con in Charlotte, NC.

Ghostbusters: Emergence of Samhaine
Here is a clip from the 2nd Samhaine episode, where he escapes from the containment unit and turns the Firehouse into a Spirit Fortress.
And yes, its spelled "SAMHAINE" with an e, even though it is misspelled everywhere else, including the boneheads behind his action figure, who thought he was "Sam Hain"
(Apologies for the quality, but its from an old tape and had to be compressed twice, once by me and again by Youtube).
Samhaine was originally captured a year before in an episode written by the creator of Babylon 5, J. Michael Straczynski. Although he was popular enough to be one of the few ghosts to recieve his own action figure, and would be seen a few times more in cameos here and there (including the opening credits to the EXTREME Ghostbusters, ten year later), he had only the two episodes as his own. JMS did write another Halloween ep for the 1989 season, but decided to (aghast) leave Samhaine out of it.

Babylon 5 - Are you willing...
This is another clip from 2nd season's "Comes the Inquisitor". John Sheridan arrives to save Delenn and gets caught as well.
Watching this scene after having seen all the series, I have to shake my head. What the inquisitor Sebastian says to both Sheridan and Delenn is so foreshadowing... I bow to writer Joe Straczynski at having written such a seemingly stand-alone episode that proves so mind blowing, prophetic and ironic after seasons 3,4 and 5!
Sebastian: "This is hell, Captain, and you are its chief damned soul!".... -sigh-
Delenn: "This body is only a shell. You cannot touch me. You cannot harm me. I'm not afraid!".... got to admire her!

P.S. Please, let me know if the sound level in this clip is too low and needs calibrating. Thanks :)

One Night At Mercy 1/2
The Twilight Zone (2002-2003) S1 Ep 2
A young doctor meets a suicidal patient who claims to be the incarnate Death. When Death insists he wants to stop his killing ways, the doctor is forced to contemplate what life would be like without death..
"Death" has been a prominent character throughout many previous versions of the Twilight Zone, one of the best episodes to feature "Death" was "One For the Angels" in which Murray Hamilton as "Death" informed a sidewalk salesman (Ed Wynn) he would die at midnight. Other TZ episodes to feature "living" incarnations of Death include "Nothing in the Dark" starring a young Robert Redford.. and "Stranger in a Dark Place" with Stephen McHattie in a story written by J. Michael Straczynski of Babylon 5 fame..
This was scheduled to be the third episode aired, but was moved to be the second of the two premiering episodes.
(opening narration) Our congratulations to Dr. Jay Ferguson who has just saved his first life. But tonight he will meet a patient who will challenge all his assumptions about living and dying in The Twilight Zone..

Tribute to Babylon 5 version 2
"What interests me, what I wanted to do with making this show, was in large measure to examine the issues and emotions and events that precede a war, precipitate a war, the effects of the war itself, the end of the war and the aftermath of the war. The war is hardware; the people are at the center of the story." — J. Michael Straczynski, 1997
I can hardly believe that I did an updated image collection video on B5. Although it made my century old computer crash a couple of times, I've finally got it finished. Thank Valen...:P
Changes I made- a few added snapshots, more video effects and transitions Some of you might be wondering why all my 'vids' all contain images....well, the reason is my pc is slow, well not that slow, and it takes a century to rip dvds!
Enjoy watching
Note: added Nov. 21, 2007: Great to see one of my older videos. Now my videos no longer use snapshots, they're all using movie clips.

Babylon 5 - The Vision
This scene is one of my favorites in "Babylon 5". It's from season 1 episode "Signs and Portents" and it was what hooked me to "Babylon 5" for good. From then on, I just had to watch all of the rest of the series to see if this vision would come true, if "Babylon will fall, this place will be destroyed".
Did this possible future come true? Well... yes and no, in a most unexpected way. :)

Babylon 5 - "Who are you?"
This is a clip from a favorite episode of mine, 2nd season's "Comes The Inquisitor". Delenn is interrogated by the mysterious Sebastian, who keeps asking the fundamental question "who are you?".
Mira Furlan as Delenn and Wayne Alexander as the Inquisitor Sebastian simply shine in their performances and I just love the philosophical issues and foreshadowing that fill this episode!

That's some doorbell!
This humorous scene from the He-Man season two episode "The Magic Falls" is pure J. Michael Straczynski. Only Straczynski could come up with a scene featuring He-Man, Orko and a door, and make it so thoroughly entertaining! Be sure to look at the beautiful animation of He-Man pulling himself out of the rockface...

Real Ghostbusters - This is the real thing?!
J. Michael Straczynski was the writer that shaped The Real Ghostbusters cartoon understanding the characters and giving them extremely witty dialogue. This scene from the classic episode "Ragnarok and Roll" sums up his humor, which was at times a little above the intended audience!

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors End Credits
The ending credits and song from Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Keep on Rollin'. The plot concerns Jayce, son of Audric, and his quest to rejoin him. The backstory is that Audric was a botanist who did several experiments with biotechnology, one of which blossomed and became a young humanoid girl named Flora. Audric had also created a miracle crop that could thrive in any environment and end galactic hunger. However, suddenly a solar flare mutates his plant into an evil, sentient being named Saw Boss, and changes other plants around Audric's laboratory into similar creatures, who collectively become known as the Monster Minds. Audric manages to create a magical Root that can destroy the Monster Minds, but is forced to flee before he can complete the task. He keeps half himself and gives the other half to his servant, Oon, whom he sends to serve Jayce. Thus, Jayce and his Lightning League friends are constantly on a quest to find Audric and combine the halves of the Root.Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors is an French/American/Japanese animated TV show which first aired on September 16, 1985. It was produced by Saban Entertainment for DiC Entertainment (originally distributed for syndication by SFM Entertainment), and directed by an uncredited Japanese studio. The uncompleted show, which spawned 65 30-minute episodes, was created to support Mattel's toy line. The show featured two duelling forces. The "good guys" are humans, called the Lightning League. They drove white and silver vehicles with assorted weaponry, and are led by Jayce. The "bad guys" are organic green vegetable-based creatures called the Monster Minds, who tend to take the shape of black and green vehicles. They travel via large green organic vines, that sprout seeds that rapidly grew into further Monster Minds. They are led by Saw Boss.ayce's 65 episode run was not followed up, and it ended unresolved. However, according to series producer J. Michael Straczynski, a movie had also been commissioned along with the series.Had the movie been filmed, it would have provided a sense of closure on Jayce, with his Lightning League meeting with the originals and being trained on the home world of the Guardians, he would be reunited with his father Audric, but according to Straczynski, Audric would have been killed by Saw Boss as the Monster Minds began a final assault on the galaxy, and in a final battle, Jayce would unite the root and kill Saw Boss, ending the Monster Mind threat forever. The opening titles features the phrase:Thundering across the stars to save the universe from the Monster Minds. Jayce searches for his father to unite the Magic Root and lead his Lightning League to victory over the changing form of Saw Boss. Wheeled Warriors explode into battle - Lightning Strikes!

The Ultimate 80's Tribute: HEROES UNITE
This video isn't here to misrepresent!! If you are the owners of the music and video footage, thank you for making such great media. I have made sure to give you credit at the end of the vid or at the bottom of the details provided here in this section. This clip I edited was inspired by u guys and isn't posted here to intentionally mislead or offend anyone. This is just a fan-made video to show some love out there for what you've done, share it with others, and give u some free publicity =)
======================================== !!!!! 80s HEROES UNITE !!!!! There's no FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends here. There is no SpongeBobSquarepants around. If any Bratz show up they will be bound & gagged. And Ed,Edd,and Eddy will be shot on site.
I didn't just make this a tribute to 80's heroes, it's also a tribute to 80's kids. For those of us who grew up watching cartoons that had a measure of skill in the artwork. Cartoons that had some depth to their episodes and even lessons to learn at the end.
For those who get through the credits and must know:
-- "Challenge of the Superfriends" did come out in 1978 but I watched it during the 80s.
-- The "Captain Planet" series aired in 1990, but I saw a special pilot episode in 1989.
-- There was some confusion with Dragons Lair so to clear it up, yes it was a game but a mini cartoon of it had come out showing the whole game being completed correctly from the first to the last levels. Good enough for me ;D So it came on board since i was able to get hold of it.
-- O yeah i found out after I made this video that Tranzor-Z originally was from 1972-1974, but I watched it when it came out in the states on 1985 so yeah that's y i thought it was an original 80s cartoon ;p
That's the reason those shows are in my vid even tho "technically" they're not from the 80's. The dates shouldnt be off but if they are, it's wikipedia's fault. This Ultimate Tribute has only cartoons I could get a hold of so if u don't see your favorite, that's why. ^__^ ENJOY!!
