Thuy Trang memorial news report

A rare FOX 11 news clip made national on September 10th, 2001, concerning the car accident death of Thuy Trang, the original Yellow Power Ranger. Sections of her memorial service are seen, including fellow MMPR actors Amy Jo Johnson and David Yost. A few seconds are missing from the start, though it was mostly stock footage from the show. Needless to say, this didn't get much airplay due to the timing of its release.

Billy - The Original Blue Power Ranger

Title says it all. I wanted to give Billy the sendoff he should've gotten on the show. I could've done better but I'm pretty happy with what I've done.
Those looking to laugh, wait until the end, trust me, it gets me every time. Otherwise, this video is a lot more emotional than funny, especially if you're a Billy fan, like I am. Enjoy!

Power Rangers season 3 opening 5

Because Billy transformed back to his normal self on Climb Every Fountain, there was no need to credit Justin Timsit as Young Billy. Instead, the credits show Billy growing older and only lists David Yost as Billy. The rest of the theme is unaltered from the previous version and is used to close out the entire series.

Beautiful Surprise (Aisha/Billy)

After I finished the video for Panache, I had a ton of great clips left over for a particular pairing: Billy/Aisha, coincidentally (heh) my two favorite Rangers as kid.

So, ta-da, a full Aisha/Billy video, maybe the first of its kind, set to "Beautiful Surprise" by India.Arie.

Bulk and Skull 21

Episode 2.13 will forever go down in infamy as the first MMPR episode to lack Bulk and Skull. This is known as "jumping the shark" by this one website that tries too hard to push "jumping the shark" as an actual phrase. It's not an actual phrase, though. They made it up. It's never been heard until they came up with it. And another thing, who the heck is this "Curtis" guy and the guy Trini was making eyes at? Who are these people who keep appearing in recurring episodes?

I wonder if Bulk's aware that there were no such thing as medieval "babes". Unless having no teeth, not bathing, and religious paranoia are still considered romantic, among other countless things. You've got to hand it to Bulk though, he sure has a penchant for finding a plan so ridiculous that it would never ever work ever. How do you come up with a plan that starts at ground zero and stays there?

Scene after pointless scene of fighting didn't need a second season to look like the same thing over and over again. Hopelessly drippy, unrealistically optimistic politically-correct teen drama gets irritating to non-molochs on the first take. But no matter what hare-brained scheme Bulk and Skull come up with, it never gets old. They're always up to something fresh and new, even though they're sticking to the same routine plan. That brings up another point. Bulk and Skull are the only character's I've noticed who have story arcs. Tommy occaisionally gets his multi-part episodes where he loses his power about every twenty episodes or so, but Bulk and Skull are able to stretch their premises out as a continual thread. Obviously you can't have Bulk and Skull alone, but any REAL writer would tell you that it's obvious you need a supporting cast for any show. This is one potential spin-off that really could have been ground-breaking in its difference. Unfortunately, people don't get anything beyond cutthroat competition, female double standards, and repetitive crime dramas to want anything new on TV.

You don't fool me, putting in a bunch of Bulk and Skull clips after that previous episode! Though it's kind of weird that the main deterrent of Bulk and Skull is "a bunch of people walking around them". This method has been used before, such as in the episode where they make a giant sandwich. I'm not sure David Yost fits the "nerd" role. He's too good-looking. One thing that can be said for the main actors, they are good-looking.

What's this? Bulk and Skull in hot pursuit of Zack and his Untouchables!? What diabolical dillema will our dynamic duo discover?? It looks like anthropomorphic manticore Goldar didn't die when Tommy zapped him. They did a good job of decorating B&S's camera so that it's hard to tell it's not really a camera.

Right, now Bulk and Skull go to visit Madam Swampy, and they couldn't decide on which big-name celebrity to cameo in this role? She looks like Mimi from that old Drew Carey show. I imagine many popular celebrities were lining up for a chance to be in a Bulk and Skull scene. Who the heck would want to pass that up? Movie stars and pop culture icons ought to be jumping at the chance to appear on-screen with Bulk and Skull.

And the episode ends with a wonderful scene of indentured servitude! Indentured servitude: when you're a step away from saying, "Hey, let's reenact slavery!" Oh well, Ernie, it was nice knowing you. Guess we won't see you much when you're rotting in prison or the unemployment line for being guilty of false advertising! And even if that isn't the whole advertisement, it's still an unethical misleading. Plus think about this: Ernie had to hire a character actor to play a fortune teller, something which only rubes go to see, in order to get them to come to his precious Youth Center to eat "protein muffins" if they buy lunch. Exactly how much has Ernie spent on this ad campaign already? First he makes the fliers for the muffins which AREN'T FREE since you need to BUY LUNCH to get them, then he had to hire the fortune teller wacko, and then he had to place an ad in the newspaper for the fortune teller. Don't forget that Ernie also has a habit of giving away free food on a whim, and you don't wonder why he's gone bankrupt, despite the fact the city probably funds the Youth Center because it "helps" keep their moronic youths off the street so they can hang around in a seedy Youth Center instead of inside at home where it's safe and their family lives.
