The Young Ones - session clips
Three out-take clips from the pre-record sessions for the Young Ones episode 'Nasty', taken from a two-hour bootleg of sessions. Dreadful quality, but fascinating viewing.
a) A short clip from the LeCarre spoof featuring Mark Arden, Stephen Frost and Daniel Peacock as the men in the shack - boasting a few lines of extra dialogue ("Must warn Smelly..." - is a reference to George Smiley, a character in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' and 'Smiley's People').
b) A blooper from the same scene showing the aftermath of some over-exuberant tugging on Arden's trousers by Peacock. The floor manager is Ed Bye.
c) Technicians setting up the SPG puppet for the "Ooh, have we got a video?" cutaway. As they prepare for the take we hear the voices of Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson rehearsing the line several times (suggesting they bring out an SGP LP like Roland Rat did) and discussing the scene it appears in:

We're currently helping to track down other rare Young Ones-related videos for use in an official 25th Anniversary DVD release of The Young Ones currently being prepared for release later in the year.
In particular we're looking for any tapes of raw footage from the sessions (as per the clips above) or rough early edits of the shows. In particular the DVD team are desperate to track down the infamous 'blooper reel' which was assembled at the time but which has since mysteriously vanished from official archives.

The Talking Turd - I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle
An unpleasant surprise in the toilet! From the film 'I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle'. In this famous nightmare sequence, Noddy's friend Buzzer returns as a talking turd. This clip was first featured on TV on the James Whale Show. There were several requests to show it again!
TRIVIA: The sequence was filmed in three stages:
1) with the camera inside a toilet with a false bottom
2) inside a real toilet with an 'animatronic' turd, swimming in the water
3) Daniel Peacock as the turd for the close up. This took five hours in 'make-up'!
