Keith Carradine - I'm Easy - Malvasio
I was watching Dexter when I saw Keith Carradine and it reminded me of this song which he wrote and sang in Robert Altman's movie Nashville. It won the Oscar for best song in 1975. The ironic thing about this love song is that Carradine in the movie is a manipulative womanizer and uses this song to try to con the women he is involved with. PLEASE rate and comment, thanks

I'm Easy
That's the title of the song. I'm not, like, advertising myself. But yeah, a cover of the Keith Carradine song written for Nashville. Imagine Lily Tomlin in the corner giving me googly eyes.

It Don't Worry Me
Last scene in "Nashville" (1975, by Robert Altman). First sings Ronee Blakley her own song "Idaho Home", then comes Barbara Harris with a song written by Keith Carradine, "It Don't Worry Me".
Idaho Home (Ronee Blakley)
Momma and Daddy raised me with love and care, They sacrificed, so I could have a better share They fed me and nursed me and sent me to school Momma taught me how to sing, Daddy lived the Golden Rule When I think of the children alone in a play Abandoned and wild like a fatherless child I think of my Momma and how she could sing Harmony with my Daddy, our laughter would ring.
Down the highway, on the beaches Just as far as memory reaches I still hear Daddy singin' his ol' Army songs We laugh and count horses as we drove along. We were young then, we were together We could bear floods and fire and bad weather And now that I'm older, grown up on my own I still love Momma and Daddy best, my Idaho home.
Momma grew up on the prairies of Kansas She was tender and sweet. The dust and tornadoes surround her But they left her straight up on her feet. My Daddy grew up on his own, more or less His Momma died when he was just eleven. He had seven sisters to raise him. But he dreamed of his Momma in heaven. His Daddy drank whiskey and had a sharp eye. He sold chicken medicine farmers would buy. Together they hunted the fields and the farms When his daddy died, my Daddy rested in my Momma's arms
It Don't Worry Me (Barbara Harris, written by Keith Carradine)
They say this train Don't give out rides It don't worry me And all the world is takin' sides It don't worry me
'Cause in my empire life is sweet Just ask any bum you meet Life may be a one-way street But it don't worry me
Come on, everybody sing.
Chorus (2x): It don't worry me It don't worry me You may say I ain't free It don't worry me
The price of bread may worry some It don't worry me Tax relief may never come It don't worry me
Economy's depressed, not me My spirit's high as it can be You may say I ain't free It don't worry me
Chorus (4x): It don't worry me It don't worry me You may say I ain't free But it don't worry me
Now, if we don't live peaceful, There's gonna be nothin'left in our graves Except Clorox bottles and plastic fly swatters with red dots on 'em ... That's right. We're knocked up
It don't worry me You may say I ain't free Well, it don't worry me Come on, everybody! That's right.
It don't worry me You might say I ain't free It don't worry me
It don't worry me It don't worry me You might say I ain't free It's not gon' worry us
It don't worry me It don't worry me You might say I ain't free It's not gonna worry me
Ain't gonna be nothin' left in our graves Except fly swatters with red dots on 'em. That's right! It don't worry me
It don't worry me It don't worry me You may say that I ain't free But it don't worry me It don't worry me.
Both songs are available on the Nashville Soundtrack CD, Idaho Home is also on Ronee Blakley's "Welcome".

Southern Comfort Tune
*Warning* If you are queasy, or do not want to see an animal slaughtered for food, Please DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO! I didn't know what to call this vid? It is from the 1981 movie 'Southern Comfort' with Keith Carradine as one of the main characters. I remember seeing the movie in the theater and thinking to myself that I kind of liked this tune they are playing. I have no clue as to who they are, or what they are saying though, but the melody lines and the dudes voice are, to me anyway, what makes it worthy of posting here. I guess a good name for the music type would be Cajun Country Music? Anyway, I am just a connoisseur of good music in general, and if it sounds good to my ears, I'm gonna remember it and try to find it. I won't do a plug for any major retail chain store to say I finally found the DVD and it was the best buy that I ever saw in the discount bin. Some may not like it, but I only upload vids so I can watch stuff while at work, since my puter there doesn't have a DVD drive. Thanks

Will Rogers' Follies - OBC - "The Big Time"
I can't imagine a show more packed with entertainment from start to finish than this one. A sheer delight and testament to the genius of Tommy Tune. Here's the terrific Keith Carradine - giving one of the most underrated performances in years - and the wonderful Dee Hoty - singing one of my Will faves... This clip is from the beautifully shot, but unreleased in the US (I believe), video version of the show, shown in Japan due to the investment in the show by a Japanese TV company.

Deadwood: Bill Hickock's murder.
Some fantastic acting on show from Timothy Olyphant, here, even though he doesn't utter a word in this whole clip. The look on his face says it all. I've never seen someone convey a look of anger and sadness at the same time, so well.
I left the end credits in, 'cos I like the song. :)
