	Be the one to save a life Marrow Donor Public Service Announcement with TV's Survivor winner, Yul Kwon Right now there are thousands of children and adults who desperately need a marrow or blood cell transplant to save their lives. Seventy percent of them will not find a matching donor in their family. They are hoping to find a volunteer donor who is willing to help them. Patients of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds face the greatest challenge in finding a matching donor. Transplants require matching certain tissue traits of the donor and patient. Because these traits are inherited, a patient's most likely match is someone of the same racial or ethnic background.
