	At the Zenith - Love in Thoughts An extraordinary film directed by Achim von Borries, I couldn't recommend it more. Music is White Gold by Metric Movie is Love in Thoughts (Can find the DVD at the website for cduniverse) (Or rather, you must!!) Love in Thoughts (Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken) is a German film directed by Achim von Borries. It was released in Germany on 24 November 2004. The main characters are played by August Diehl, Daniel Brühl, Anna Maria Mühe and Jana Pallaske. Paul Krantz and Guenther Scheller are high school students who have just one thing in common: their desire to live life to its fullest potential, and die when it has reached its peak. The hunger for life is palpable in this moody period drama that runs the gamut of emotion, based on the events of 1927 that became known as the Steglitz Student Tragedy. Dreamy poet Paul comes from a working-class background, while the risk-taking Guenther is a wealthy playboy. The friends take a weekend trip to Guenter's family summerhouse, where his charmingly bohemian sister Hilde is staying. Paul is immediately captivated by her, and the two share an intimate weekend before Hilde returns to the city, surreptitiously meeting up with Hans, a former lover of her brother's with whom she is now involved. Meanwhile, the boys make a pact that, the moment they no longer feel any love, the will end their lives and take with them those who have stolen their love. This sets the stage for a debaucherous weekend of love and betrayal, as the Paul and Guenther throw a wild party during which true loyalties are revealed, and the friends must decide whether to take the ultimate step in life: death. 	Berlinale 2007 Regisseur Stefan Ruzowitzky "Die Fälscher" über die Entstehung der Grundidee des Filmes, die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zeitzeugen Herrn Burger und weitere Details der Produktion. Die Idee sei ihm innerhalb von zwei Wochen von zwei unterschiedlichen Produzenten, darunter Magnolia Film, vorgeschlagen worden. Über die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zeitzeugen Burger, erklärt der Regisseur, ein im Film beteiligter Verlag habe die Rechte seiner Biographie. Weitere Schauspieler sind August Diehl, Karl Markovics (herausragend), Devid Striesow und Marie Bäumer, diese in einer kleinen Rolle in Berlin der 30er Jahre. Auch die Enkelin des Grossmeisters Charles Chaplin, Dolores Chaplin spielt eine Gespielin aus der Cote d'Azur. Eine Rolle eher der Schönheit Frau Dolores gewidmet als ihrer schaupielerischen Leistung. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Fr. Chaplin sei zufällig bei einer Feier in Cannes entstanden, erklärt der Regisseur. Plauder hin und her, habe sie den Regiesseur gefragt,was er woll mache und als er von seinem bevorstehenden Projekt erzählte horchte sie ob es daran keine Rolle für sie gebe.
