Calendars of OSU Men Released with Don Handfield
They are the pinups in the 1994 Men of Ohio State Calendars and this morning we were on hand for the calendar's official release. There are two editions of that calendar, one called "Cool College Men," the other "Hot University Hunks." With one of those, of course, a little more risque than the other.

Defying Gravity1 The Beloved The Sun Rising
I chose one of my favorite gay romance movies to make music videos. I thought "The Sun Rising" by The Beloved served as a good song to showcase Griff, the main character's double life-- his conflict between wanting to be a straight frat boy or being the secret lover of Pete, the adorable boy with whom he's already sleeping.

Defying Gravity5 Erasure Rain
I never understood the opening line to Erasure's "Rain": what is there to do? only rain, falling down from the sky. But it seemed really appropriate for the flashback scene of Griff and Pete's first time. Griff's tone as he describes it to Todd when he says "just an ordinary day, nothing special," sounded reminiscent of the opening line of this song. But the love described in "Rain" sort of echoes just how special that day became for Griff after they made love and "all at once everything is different."

Defying Gravity7 Erasure In My Arms
My last in the Defying Gravity series. I picture "In My Arms" as a duet between Griff and Pete. The lyric "I've been away to somewhere/but life goes on no less" made me think of Pete in a coma and of course the line "walls come tumbling down" applies to Griff finally admitting his feelings for Pete and rushing to be by Pete's side. Such a cute ending to a cute movie.

Defying Gravity6 Madonna Sorry Remix
Madonna remixed this song and used it as a scathing political commentary in her Confessions Tour. I thought it made a good backdrop for the confrontation between Griff and his frat brothers who he thought were his friends, but they turned out to be criminals.
