Who Wants To Be The Next Disney Channel Star

06.12.2007 08:57:57 Alan Baltes, the publisher of the Disney Channel Auditions blog is in the planning stages of presenting his new reality based concept tv show "Who Wants To Be The Next Disney Channel Star?" to the execs at Disney Channel Worldwide.

(live-PR.com) - The show would tour America in search of the next person to become a star on the Disney Channel. Contestants would perform acting, singing, and dancing routines. They would then be narrowed down to finalists who would come to Burbank, California to compete in a reality show in which the winner would receive a contract to star in a Disney Channel Television Show or Feature Film.

The talent search phase could also include possible dates and locations in the UK, Australia, and Canada. This decision would be up the the studio, however Baltes would love to see the show travel to these areas. He said that the dates and locations for the show have not been determined, but said that issue would also be a studio decision.

Kids under 18 years of age would need a legal guardian or parents signed consent, and they would have to accompany the minor child or teen throughout the production.

"The response to this new Disney Channel Original Programming idea has been fantastic to say the least. Thank you to everyone who has written, and I continue to welcome any new input regarding the show. I will be pitching the show to Gary Marsh, President of Entertainment at Disney Channel Worldwide, and to Adam Bonnet, the Senior Vice President of Original Programming at the Disney Channel in January 2008", Baltes said on Wednesday.

He is collecting feedback through email. There is also a poll regarding the show on the website sidebar.
