E gigantikus összművészeti alkotás posztmodern eklektikus korunk korai, enciklopédikus összegzése. A leglátványosabb magyar film, mely meg tudta valósítani a szinte lehetetlent: romantikus szerelmi háromszögtörténet, melyet a kommerciális igényű néző is élvez, experimentális kultúrfilozófiai bölcselet, intellektuális idő-játék egyúttal... A jelenetet Hildebrand István operatőr viola-sárga szűrőn át fényképezte. Statikussága abból fakad, hogy a kamera függőlegesen nem mozoghatott, hogy tartsa a látóhatárt. Mitikusságát aláhúzza a színdramaturgia is: a viola a legmagasabb szellemiség - az Idea - színe (püspöki palástok), a sárga az alsó testtájak, az érzékiség - a Natura - színe. A kamera ettől a hatástól válik mitologikusan szubjektív-objektívvá. A jelenet e rendkívül feltűnő szűrőzés nélkül pusztán hiperreális látványt nyújtana, amely pontosan idézi az 1820-as évek miliőjét. View Video
