Harry Langdon in THE STRONG MAN (part 4/11)
Part four of the Langdon/Capra collaboration from 1926. There's still disagreement among fans as to Langdon's place in comedy history. Not known as an auteur like Chaplin or Lloyd, some say he wasn't given the chance to be one or that he was too far ahead of his time. On the other side of the fence are those of the opinion that Langdon owed much of his success to Capra and his writer, Arthur Ripley. What can't be disputed is Langdon's unforgettable screen presence in this and other classic films.
