Bulls GM, Jerry Krause (a self-proclaimed expert at discovering talent) always bragged about the great defense of "Thunder" Dan Majerle. It was rumored that he had considered trading Pippen for Majerle in the past. This no doubt served as motivation as Money set an NBA finals record for highest single-series scoring average (41.0 pts/game), taking away some, if not all, of Dan Majerle's thunder.
