Ladies In Lavender (Pt. 2) - A Tribute
This is a lovely, quiet film about two elderly sisters who befriend a mysterious foreigner who washes up on the beach of their 1930s Cornish seaside village. They take him in and nurse him back to health. Both sisters fall a little in love with him, particularly Ursula, the character played by Judi Dench. She gives a heart-wrenching performance as Ursula who has never really experienced love, and only dreamt and imagined about it. The film is perfectly cast and a joy to watch, with a lovely score performed by violinist Joshua Bell.
