A slew of stars came out to congratulate Nick for being chosen as Cosmo's Fun Fearless Male of the Year. So, we can understand why Cosmo thinks he's fun - we've seen him in action. But what about the fearless part? Evidently Nick received a lot of flack when he used his break-up with Jessica as inspiration for his 2006 hit album What's Left of Me. But despite the criticism, he now says he's glad that he went with his gut. Here's more:
"I've certainly gotten my share of criticism from people who are like `how could you talk about all that? It's so undignified,'" he says in an interview with the magazine.
"For me, it was the greatest thing I could do to let my guard down and be willing to expose my emotions and put them into music. Especially when going through an experience like divorce, you have to find some outlet to get that out of your system or it'll eat you up."

Brandon Routh did a pretty bang-up job saving the world last time, so--he's getting at least one more chance to do it again.
The "Superman Returns" star told E! Online Thursday that he'll be teaming up again with director Bryan Singer for a sequel due out sometime in 2009.
"Well, they've publicized that Bryan had finished his deal, which was the lynchpin, I think, in the whole talk about a sequel, so everything looks to be heading that way," Routh said at the DVD and video game launch party for the film that turned the former soap opera actor into a brand name.
"I'm certainly excited to do another one.
