It was a big night down under as Aussie celebs came out to celebrate the Australian Film Institute Awards in Melbourne. Cate Blanchett was in from Sydney, where she recently showed off her baby bump at a premiere, along with Eric Bana, who won the best actor and people's choice awards. Tara Reid, already in Australia to host parties at a discounted rate, scored a last-minute invite, saying, "I always pop up everywhere in Australia, like a jack-in-the-box." We have to say, Tara looks pretty tiny in her possibly pleated/bubbled LBD and watch out Australia — you never know where she'll be appearing next.

Australian actor Eric Bana wishes his country would promote itself in a more sophisticated manner, because he finds the cliches about antipodean beaches and barbecues embarrassing.
The "Lord of the Rings" actress has signed on to star as Dr. Bruce Banner's resident love interest in the sequel to 2003's "Hulk," which will feature Edward Norton suiting up/stripping down as the moody scientist and his musclebound alter ego.
Steven Tyler's little girl will take over the role of Betty Ross, played by Jennifer Connolly in the first film opposite Eric Bana as the green fighting machine.
While Ang Lee's take on the classic comic book character had style to spare, reviews were average at best and it grossed a disappointing (for a superhero saga) $245 million worldwide.

Drew was outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre last night in a gorgeous red dress that looks like a close cousin of the one she wore the night before! The dress looks great - the make-up not so much. Perhaps she should check out BellaSugar considering she's gonna be the latest Cover Girl. She was stopping back by her pal Dave's to promote her new film Lucky You with Eric Bana. The film is an exploration of love and loss, which after two marriages and quite a few relationships, Drew knows quite a lot about. Here's more:
"But I think generally in life, you know, what relationships really boil down to is what are these two people dealing with and how do they mirror each other and how do they sort of, you know, reveal the truth to each other and bring out the best in each other?" she said. "And that's what this is an interesting exploration of. It's fun because it's a drama and it's a character piece. You know, the beginning of a new era for me and I'm just so privileged to be in this movie. It was so much fun to do."

Eric Bana's taking that whole "Hulk smash" thing too seriously.
The green wrecking machine's big-screen alter ego totaled his 1974 Ford XB Coupe Saturday in Australia as he competed in the Targa Tasmania classic car race.
The actor apparently lost control of his painstakingly restored car, which he had owned since he was a teen, on the third leg of the five-day race and plowed into two trees. While the car was too damaged to finish the race, Bana and his navigator walked away unscathed.
