Two days after pleading guilty to drug charges in Dubai earlier this week that landed him a four year prison sentence, famed hip-hop producer Dallas Austin was unexpectedly freed from jail Tuesday when the Middle Eastern country's ruler granted him a pardon.
Austin, 34, left Dubai on a Wednesday morning flight after a little more than two months behind bars and is now back in his hometown of Atlanta, the Grammy winner's camp confirmed Wednesday.

Dallas Austin, the hip-hop producer famed for working with the likes of TLC, Janet Jackson, Pink and Madonna is behind bars in the Persian Gulf country of Dubai awaiting trial on drug possession charges, according to published reports.
Austin, 34, was detained on May 19 at Dubai International Airport after allegedly being caught bringing illicit substances into the sheikdom. His next hearing is set for July 2. If he's convicted he could face a lengthy prison sentence in the country, which is notorious for cracking down hard on drug offenders.
