Jake Gyllenhaal and his sister shared a laugh backstage after she and Peter Sarsgaard took the stage together kicking off their run of Uncle Vanya last night. From there, the trio headed to the afterparty. Maggie and Peter recently talked about living in Brooklyn and why they chose off Broadway to work together:

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal browsed the racks at APC in LA over the weekend and came out holding hands. Most of you still consider Jake total manjoyment and lucky Reese is the one that gets to enjoy the prize - until Prince of Persia hits theaters, that is. We saw Jake incredibly bulked up for the role and this weekend Jerry Bruckheimer spoke a little about the movie while at a press junket for Confessions of a Shopaholic. He said:

"I've seen most of Prince of Persia. Looks fantastic - you won’t recognize Jake Gyllenhaal. He's worked really hard [to bulk up]. Well, he’s a cyclist anyway, he bikes all the time, so he just had to do a little lifting, but he looks fantastic."

Sounds hot already, though it doesn't hit theaters until 2010. Until then day to day handsome Jake is just fine.

Jake Gyllenhaal was out for another run on Friday in LA, burning off a few calories before he takes full advantage of all the delicious food on the menu at tonight's Golden Globes - don't forget to fill out your ballot, the contest is open until 12 PST! He waited until after last week's People's Choice Awards were over to meet up with Reese, but fingers crossed that tonight they'll make a side-by-side appearance. It's been a long time since we've seen Jake suited up on a red carpet, but it's extra exciting knowing about those muscles underneath his tux.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal headed out to watch the Lakers play in LA last night. The home team had a celebrity front row as usual to beat the Portland Trailblazers. Long-time bball player Jake looks like he pointed a few things out to Reese during the game. Over the holidays the couple spent time with another famous duo, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan, but this date night was only about these two. Most of the time Jake and Reese are the ones getting a workout and maybe Jake can join his girl for her recent favorite exercise technique in the new year.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal headed up to her house in Ojai, CA this weekend after celebrating his 28th birthday together recently in LA. They put on their puffy jackets and sunglasses yesterday to hit the farmers market before joining Robert Downey, Jr. and his wife Susan for a hike. Jake and Robert worked together a few years ago on Zodiac, and they have a lot to bond over considering all the time they're spending in London these days filming Sherlock Holmes and Prince of Persia.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were reunited stateside yesterday, heading to pick up Ava in school and sweetly holding hands through the rain. Ever the gentleman, Jake carried some flowers as the trio headed home. Today it will be Jake with all the presents as he celebrates at his 28th birthday party, but it looks like being home with Reese and her family around the holidays is the perfect present. While Jake continues to film Prince of Persia, Reese is gearing up for more projects of her own. The actress has signed on to two new comedic projects in 2009 working with some of Hollywood's finest, Cameron Crowe and James L Brooks.

Jake Gyllenhaal kept his long hair tucked into his hat on the way out of Scotts restaurant in London last night. After spending Thanksgiving with Reese overseas, it seems like she left him with a smile when she had to head back to California. Jake's been living abroad for a while now filming Prince of Persia, but thanks to intercontinental flights LA is never more than a plane ride away so we can keep rooting for him and Reese. In fact, his schedule allows him to head back to visit her for his December 19 birthday and she is apparently planning to throw him a big bash.

Reese Witherspoon and Deacon wore white well after Labor day shopping in the LA heat in Brentwood yesterday. She had a big smile on her face while Deacon talked away looking adorable as ever holding hands with mom. Reese has been spending lots of time with her kids recently, but still missing from the equation is Jake Gyllenhaal who is overseas filming Prince of Persia. Rumor has it that the geographic separation has been difficult on the relationship and that the two are drifting apart. Long distance relationships are never easy, but at least these two have the resources to visit each other often which hopefully eases the stress until they're back together again.

Reese Witherspoon's boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal wasn't around, but she had her substitute workout buddy — his dog Atticus — for a walk around LA yesterday. While Jake's been off all Summer long filming Prince of Persia overseas there's nothing like having his furry buddy around to keep him on her mind. Now that it's back to school time for the kids, Reese has even more time to keep fit and enjoy that LA sunshine until she has to start getting in the holiday spirit hopefully with her beefy man back in town.
