Straight off her weekend at the Toronto Film Festival, Jennifer Aniston hopped down to NYC to join her good friends Courteney Cox and David Arquette for the launch of David's new menswear line, Propr, at New York Fashion Week. The collaboration between David and Ben Harper was celebrated by their wives and was even family-friendly enough for their kids — like Coco, who strapped on her Mary Janes and climbed on mom's shoulders to get better view of the action. Courteney and Laura Dern have been hanging out in Manhattan with their daughters before their husbands' big night, but Cox looked great posing with her BFF Jennifer Aniston when she arrived on the scene.

The Waldorf-Astoria in NYC rocked last night to welcome the newest class of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Madonna looked happy to accept the honor and while Guy Ritchie wasn't around, her Hard Candy collaborator Justin Timberlake was there to help celebrate. Fellow inductees include John Mellencamp and Leonard Cohen. Madonna didn't sing, but she did ask Iggy Pop to come and play which he did with no shirt (of course). On stage Madonna said, "Thirty-five years later, people are still encouraging me to believe in my dreams. What more could I ask for?" While Justin took a shot at a certain ex, "The world is full of Madonna wannabes. I might have even dated a couple, but there is truly only one Madonna." Seems a little unnecessary of JT, but congrats to all the new Rock and Roll Hall of Famers!
In typical Madonna fashion she kept things risqué even without any racy performance — she joked on stage about telling JT to drop his pants to give him a B12 shot and her past drug use including "smoking a joint" when she met her publicist Liz Rosenberg and taking ecstasy with a music exec after giving him her first demo. Yeah, I don't think 50's going to slow her down any at all.

Today in Heath Ledger's hometown, 600 people came out to mourn and celebrate the late actor's life. The invite only ceremony included family and friends, but no baby Matilda. Songs were sung including a lullaby by Ben Harper called Happily Ever After in Your Eyes written for Matilda per Heath's request almost two years ago. The family and Cate Blanchett spoke as well as Michelle Williams who read Shakespeare's, Sonnet 18, you know, "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day." After the sad ceremony, the mood changed as 50 of the friends, including Michelle, ran onto a beach with (and some without) their clothes on. Here are more details of the celebration, which finally produced some smiles that would have made Heath proud:
Those in the water laughed and cheered as Michelle watched from the shore. Ledger's sister Kate also took a dive into the water and was surrounded by pals splashing around her while her father Kim Ledger watched from the restaurant's balcony and shouted, "Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!" giving two thumbs up in the air.
As the sun began to set, the swimmers came on shore and stood in a line on both sides of Williams and linked arms. In the last five minutes, as the sun moved toward the horizon, the mourners stood in silence, watching and embracing. Williams hugged Kate Ledger and smiled as she watched the sunset at 8:15 p.m., local time. Two mourners in the group summoned up the moment as they stood behind Williams. "The sun goes down on our love," they said. "But it will never go down on Heathy."
As saddening as this whole thing has been, it is so sweet to finally see some smiles. Michelle clearly has an excellent support system and we hope she and the rest of Heath's family continues to mourn in peace as well as slowly learn to smile again.

The organizers of the sixth annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival have figured out a way to quell any Widespread Panic. Get the Police to stop by.
A newly reunited Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers have been tapped to headline the four-day fest, which kicks off in the usual spot--a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles southeast of Nashville--on June 14.
The Police, scheduled to take the main stage June 16, join a genre-spanning, yet largely indie, lineup that also includes the White Stripes, Tool, Franz Ferdinand, Wilco, the Flaming Lips, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, Regina Spektor and, yes, Widespread Panic.
This year's fest will play host to more than 100 musical acts and 20 comedians, including "Arrested Development" alum David Cross, on 13 stages, a multi-sensory experience that Rolling Stone surmises is shaping up to be "the best festival event ever."
