Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon were among the presenters at the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in NYC last night, where outlets such as CNN.com, the NY Times, and GQ were all applauded for their work this year. When Barbara Walters was honored for her reporting on transgendered children she said, "You can forget all the Emmys . . . this means more to me." Randy Jackson took a break from American Idol mode to make it to the award ceremony and present as well. Tim Gunn was one of our favorite faces at the event, who happily sang the praises of Christian Siriano, calling him the Marc Jacobs of Christian's generation. Quite the bold statement, but we wouldn't be surprised if Christian starts raking in the awards himself in the future.

Last night, a couple of Heroes came out to play with the stars of The Game Plan at the movie's premiere in LA. The Rock has come a long way since his wrestling days now that he's even branching out into kid's movies, but I guess we already knew that he has a soft spot for children. Kevin Bacon came out to support Kyra who also stars in the film - is it just us, or does it feel like she's more famous than he is these days? SMG was looking fabulous at the Tribeca Film Festival where she debuted 2 of her latest films, Suburban Girl and The Air I Breathe. I am loving all the SMG sightings we are getting these days. Hopefully with these two movies on the horizon we will see a lot more of her and that adorable husband of hers, Freddie Prinze Jr. Can you all see her squeezing his hand on the carpet? SO cute. As for the two movies, Suburban Girl is based on the wonderful book, The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing and the Air I Breathe has SMG playing a pop star that gets in trouble with the mob. I can't wait to check both of these out but more importantly, I am just glad to see her out and about again. Now if we could only get her and Freddie to make some little ones already!

Last night Vantiy Fair helped kick off the Tribeca Film Festival with a party attended by a variety of big names. Robert De Niro and David Bowie were among those who flashed big smiles for the cameras, but apparently there is a fair amount of tension between these two under the surface. It seems that De Niro is not a big fan of Bowie's High Line Festival, which is set to start just three days after Tribeca ends and is catered towards a younger crowd. Here's more:
But a source at the Tribeca festival sniffed to Page Six: "I think they are envisioning themselves as Slamdance to our Sundance and living off the success of Sundance."
Some High Liners believe De Niro has already sabotaged them by keeping Tribeca's public relations team, Rubenstein Communications, from doing press for High Line, the Web site reports. De Niro's flack had no comment. But one longtime De Niro pal insisted, "He could care less."
Rubenstein Communications President Steven Rubenstein denies there's any feud, adding that Bowie was set to attend last night's Tribeca kickoff party sponsored by Vanity Fair. Bowie told us in a statement: "I am afraid I have no control over the inexplicable comments from the High Line producers. I think the Tribeca Film Festival is unique and irreplaceable."
Seems like a lot of fuss over nothing. Besides, Robert should have nothing to worry about, it is his festival thats premiering Spider-man 3, which is sure to be a huge hit!

The snow might be coming down hard here, but there's enough star wattage and hype to keep things sizzling at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.
On Saturday, the second full day of the annual indie film orgy, Hollywood players like Anthony Hopkins and Kevin Bacon mingled with the masses to promote various projects along Main Street amid the throng of corporate sponsor booths, hawking everything from energy drinks to cell phones.
Indeed, although the slope-side film gathering hatched by Robert Redford over 20 years ago continues to evolve as a filmmaking mecca, it can be easy to overlook the quality slate of movies amid the hype merchants, dizzying flashbulbs and red carpet glitz, all fairly recent additions.
"It used to be I didn't have to do [the red carpet]," Steve Buscemi said at the premiere of his new film, "Delirious."
