Movie award season kicked off last night in NYC with the 2008 Gotham Awards. We should get used to seeing some of these winners names and some of these familiar faces when the New Year comes along and Award Season really gets rolling, but for now the group took the red carpet to start honoring each other. While Frozen River took home the top honors, Michelle Williams and Penelope Cruz both had reasons to smile. Rachel Weisz came out to support her husband's movie The Wrestler. Michelle's Synecdoche, New York won the Robert Altman Award for best director, casting and ensemble while Vicky Cristina Barcelona also won an award for best ensemble cast. Check out the full list of winners here.
Sienna Miller met up with Balthazar Getty in London on Thursday, shopped on Friday and got dressed up to walk the red carpet with Keira Knightley at the 2008 British Independent Film Awards last night. Even though Sienna recently said she was happy being single it looks like she's back with Balthazar. They were spotted holding hands around the city, and since Balthazar missed out on spending Thanksgiving with his kids it seems like he might be serious about giving it another try with Sienna. Given her history with men it isn't surprising her relationship with the actor is on-again, although it probably doesn't help her career or please her fans.

I haven't seen Mary-Kate Olsen either in person or on the big screen here at Sundance just yet, but her movie The Wackness is the talk of the town. The good news is that the reviews I've been hearing are mostly positive (yay!) despite the fact that the title is so horrible. Park City isn't the only place where MK is super popular these days either — rumor has it that she was quite the little flirt on the set of the movie last summer. Plus, she looks so happy doing her thing at the festivals, premieres parties and all, love it. Fingers crossed this means we'll be seeing her and Ben Kingsley's Wackness in theaters all over soon.

Ashley Olsen showed off some leg in hot shoes (that don't look like they're trying to devour her legs) and tight skirt leaving Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills with a friend yesterday. The scarf seems like a bit much, but otherwise she's looking pretty hot stuff. Ash is sticking to the fashion side of things for now, but she must be so happy for Mary-Kate's exciting new acting roles (even if they involve making out with Ben Kingsley). The Olsen twins are better than ever these days and I, for one, am l-o-v-i-n-g it. Yays.
