"I was only one month pregnant so I lied, which is a woman's right," the "My Name Is Earl" star said during an appearance Wednesday on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she first let the cat, er, baby out of the bag.
"I'm four months pregnant!" Pressly, 29, said. "I'm healthy, the baby's healthy, we're good."
Jaime Pressly may have kissed a lot of frogs on her hit NBC sitcom, but in real life she appears to have already found her prince.
Publicist Megan Pope confirmed to E! News Wednesdaythat the 29-year-old actress is "officially engaged" to her live-in boyfriend, Eric Calvo. The duo are currently cohabitating in Los Angeles.
What a year it's been—first an Emmy nod for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy, and now a proposal. Pressly, who is sharpening her comedic chops in the role of Jason Lee's spunky ex-wife on My Name Is Earl, is also set to roll out the 2007 spring and summer collection from her fashion label J'Aime this week.
Pressly told Extra that her DJ beau (who goes by the performance name DJ Eric Cubiche) offered up a "perfect classic engagement ring" over the weekend. "I knew he was going to surprise me and I didn't know when," she said. This will be the first marriage for both.
The announcement comes about a week after Pressly's rep denied both engagement and pregnancy rumors swirling around the Not Another Teen Movie star. "There is no ring," Pope pointed out at the time.
The former Playboy cover girl has been linked in the past to Carson Daly and actor Simon Rex, whom she costarred with on the short-lived WB series Jack and Jill.
Pressly pulled hosting duty on Saturday Night Live earlier this month and shows up on the big screen next in DOA: Dead or Alive, an indie film based on the ninja-heavy video game.
But while agreeing to tie the knot is certainly a big step, that Emmy nod may actually be the true life-changer for Pressly this year.
"It's a huge deal for me," the North Carolina native told USA Today last month. "It sheds some light on my acting ability.
"For a long time, people would typecast me because I'm from the South. They would be like, 'Oh, she must be white trash; she must really speak that way.' But the character of Joy--that's not how anybody in North Carolina speaks. I combined four accents. People didn't realize that I worked really hard on that."
Pressly also touched upon the joys of domesticity, describing what it's like to have her husband-to-be (although she didn't know it at the time) waiting for her when she comes home at night.
"When you are off, the last thing you want to do is go out and talk to all the same people. It's a job," she told the newspaper. "I come home after work, and we make dinner. I love cooking. And take a shower and get into bed. We watch TiVo. That's our guilty pleasure. We just watched Rock Star: Supernova."

In real life, you probably don't want to be friends with a guy who once stole a car from a one-legged girl and faked his death in order to break up with someone. But virtual social networking is another story.
NBC and 20th Century Fox TV announced Thursday that they have partnered with MySpace.com for a contest that will turn three regular folks into bona fide friends of Earl, the charmingly apologetic redneck bad-boy played by Jason Lee on "My Name Is Earl."
