They may not get to be as colorful, but the men managed to keep things interesting at the VMAs. Chris Brown and was a stand out having a blast on the red carpet handing out hugs to all his friends he ran into along the way like Lupe Fiasco who was gearing up for his big performance. Chris Brown's performance last year still has people gushing, but the topic of the night was Britney. Everyone was super excited to see her hit the stage again, well, other than Kid Rock who made it very clear that's not why he was looking forward to the show. In fact, he told us he was most excited just to see which performers lip-synced versus actually singing.

Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado schmoozed their way down the press line while Cisco Adler and Schwayze talked a big game about their secret upcoming movie project and their crazy summer touring. Perhaps the loudest screams came near the end of the red carpet when Michael Phelps showed up, though sadly he didn't have time before the show to make it down the whole press line.

She's ready for more than just a seasonal change, too — the starlet has been quietly dating a new man. Supposedly Mischa has become involved with Brett Simon, who directed her in her latest movie The Assassination of a High School President. We haven't seen Mischa with a guy since her not-so-clean breakup with Cisco Adler almost a year ago, so it's good to see that she's back out there, especially since it sounds like she's trading up.

Paris, who is totally a TV star, made her way to some of the gifting suites on Friday where she confronted the recent rumors that she's planning to join Nicole in motherhood. Paris told People, "Someone just said that I'm adopting four blonde babies. That's retarded. No, I'm not." Ah, always so eloquent. On an unrelated note, how unrecognizable is Paula Abdul? Paris may deny that she's ever done drugs but witnesses at Guy's Nightclub on Tuesday would beg to differ. Apparently Paris was up to her old tricks at the club -- singing karaoke, taking sips from her friends' drinks, smoking pot and making out with Cisco Adler. Eew. Obviously her rep denies all the claims, she is a new improved woman after all.
