LOS ANGELES — NBC says "Friday Night Lights" will make its season debut on the network in January, along with the new reality shows "Superstars of Dance" and Howie Mandel's "Howie Do It."
There were five hosts — Ryan Seacrest, Tom Bergeron, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Jeff Probst — at this year's Emmy Awards, and they were joined by many more gorgeous guys and gals on red carpet. Daytime-television icon Bob Barker taped his last episode of "The Price Is Right" Wednesday, capping a 50-year broadcasting career--35 of them spent on the classic game show--surrounded by die-hard fans, some of whom traveled thousands of miles and camped out by CBS Television City to ensure a seat for the silver-haired emcee's final bow.

The new fall TV season opened Monday night with "Deal or No Deal," "Two and a Half Men" and "CSI: Miami" picking up where they left off.
"Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," meanwhile, picked up where the hype left off, and managed a respectable debut.
A two-hour "Deal or No Deal" averaged an estimated 15.6 million for NBC, Nielsen Media Research said. The second-season opener of the Mandel-manned game show was on par with its Monday performance from last spring, and was big enough to help the Peacock, previously the struggling Peacock, to a nightly win.
